Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Kristine Miley.

Next Chapter Careers was built during one of the hardest professional seasons of my life.

After navigating a major life transition and suddenly finding myself responsible for a single-income household, I experienced something I honestly never expected: even with years of leadership experience, a large professional network, and strong industry connections — the job market was incredibly difficult.

I spent months applying relentlessly.

Some days it felt like a full-time job in itself.

I applied to nearly 20 jobs a day for over three months, went through countless interviews, rewrote my resume more times than I can count, and kept hearing things like:

  • We decided to close the role.
  • We hired internally.
  • We went with another direction.
  • We're pausing hiring for now.

At first, it was discouraging.

But eventually, something clicked.

The job search process started feeling less like a reflection of my worth and more like a skill that could be improved through repetition, preparation, strategy, and confidence-building.

The more interviews I did, the better I became at telling my story. The more resumes I tailored, the more responses I received. The more I practiced, the more confident I became.

Within a few months, I found myself reaching final interview rounds at five different companies.

That experience changed the way I viewed hiring entirely.

I realized there are so many incredibly talented people who simply:

  • undersell themselves
  • feel overwhelmed
  • don't know modern hiring strategies
  • struggle to communicate their value clearly
  • don't have access to affordable career support

So I built the platform I wish I had during that season.

Next Chapter Careers exists to make professional career guidance feel:

accessible
supportive
practical
confidence-building
less intimidating

That's why the tools on this platform are free.

Because job searching is already hard enough.

If this platform helps you feel even slightly more confident navigating your next chapter, then it's doing exactly what it was built to do.
